Christopher’s Haven is a wonderful organization that provides housing for families with a child undergoing cancer treatment, just steps away from Mass General Hospital. I’ve been blessed to volunteer here since 2024, and it’s truly been an honor and blessing to be part of such a meaningful mission.
As a volunteer, I get the chance to meet incredible families and spend fun, quality time with the kids. From dance parties and arts and crafts to game nights and face painting, every activity brings joy and laughter. Being part of Christopher’s Haven has deeply impacted my life, and the memories I’ve made here are ones I’ll always carry with me.
Aletheia’s mission is “to make disciples of Jesus who bring the truth, grace, and changing power of the gospel for the glory of God and the good of all people.” It’s a mission I deeply believe in. From 2021 to 2024, I had the joy of serving as a volunteer—leading a setup/tear-down team and helping with hosting by welcoming people and making them feel connected to the church community.
As per their website: “Miracle Mile Ministries is a Boston, MA based Christian ministry devoted to a sustained, deliberate, and strategic response to the area we call “Miracle Mile” (a roughly 2-square-mile area in the South End of Boston often referred to as “Mass & Cass” or “Methadone Mile”).”
My role at this ministry has been that of a table steward, where I get to engage with the guests during breakfast, provide support, and worship and try to lead them to Christ.
